About this Course

COURSE: Introduction to Hand Sewing

AGE REQUIREMENTS: age 6 to adult

STUDENT-TEACHER RATIO: 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1

RATE FOR ONE CHILD TAKING THE COURSE: $30 per 1-hour course, including supplies. (This class is ESA approved. ESA covers 100% of the fees for this course for any student that has an ESA Class Wallet account established with the necessary funds in the account.)

RATE FOR ONE CHILD AND ONE PARENT TAKING THE COURSE TOGETHER: $50 per one-hour course, including supplies (ESA will cover $30 of the $50 if the child has an ESA Class Wallet account established with the necessary funds in the account.)

RATE FOR MULTIPLE SIBLINGS TAKING THE COURSE TOGETHER: $30 per child per course, including supplies (If multiple siblings take the course at the same time, the course is extended from 60 minutes to 90 minutes per session to accommodate for the extra children. ESA will cover $30 per child for those who have an ESA Class Wallet account established with the necessary funds in the account. The option also exists for the two siblings to take the course independently of one another, each for 1 hour, with 1:1 student teacher ratio.)

SCHEDULING OPTIONS: Students who are already doing academic tutoring Christine at Paisano Tutoring, will be given priority for booking their sewing course immediately before or after their academic tutoring session for scheduling convenience. Students not already attending sessions at Paisano Tutoring should contact teacher by text to discuss scheduling options.

Projects (For Learning the Objectives)

All projects require knowledge of the first three objectives: (1) Threading a needle, (2) tying a knot, and (3) tying a finishing knot. The first lesson will focus on introducing these necessary foundational skills.
